Biography & education
Researcher and project supervisor
Mohamed Haj Yousef studied solid-state physics at the University of Aleppo (BSc 1989), received a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge in 1992, and completed a PhD at the University of Exeter in 2005. His doctoral research examined time in Ibn al-Arabi’s cosmology in relation to modern physics.
Alongside university physics teaching, his research has connected Islamic intellectual history, philosophy of time and cosmology. His publications grew from historical inquiry into the Single Monad Model and later the Duality of Time Theory.
